Prof. Dr. Bakhtiyor Anvarovich Islamov (Chair)
Director of Tashkent branch of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Professor at Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and Tashkent State University of Economics. Professor Islamov previously worked as a head of the press department and member of Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, head of External Relations department of the Academy of Sciences, a senior researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Deputy Rector of Tashkent State University of Economics, Deputy Rector of the Banking and Finance Academy, and acting Executive Director of the Republican Fund "Ustoz", served as an Advisor and Deputy Minister and member of Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, as well as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia and Belarus. Professor Islamov graduated from MGIMO, Moscow in 1977. He holds Doctor of Science degree in Economics (1981) from the Economics of the World Socialist System Institute (IEMSS) of the USSR Academy of Sciences (formerly), Moscow. He has more than 150 scientific publications: monographs, brochures, journal articles and abstracts, about 40 of which were published in USA, Canada, Russia, Japan and many other countries. Research interests:  Economic reforms in Central Asian countries and their integration to the world economy.
