Doctoral project

The topic of improving the management of foreign trade processes is highly relevant for Uzbekistan, considering the nation's growing role in international trade, its integration into global economic systems, and the need to optimize trade management.
Uzbekistan has made significant strides in improving its foreign trade management, yet challenges persist. Studies show that while trade barriers have been reduced, customs procedures and bureaucratic inefficiencies remain obstacles to smooth trade operations. Experts suggest that adopting digital technologies in customs and trade management could enhance transparency and reduce transaction costs, making Uzbekistan's foreign trade processes more competitive. Furthermore, improving logistics and infrastructure is crucial for boosting exports, especially in key sectors such as agriculture and textiles. Additionally, ongoing institutional reforms and participation in international trade agreements, like those within the World Trade Organization (WTO), are considered essential for expanding market access and attracting foreign investment.
Thus, continued reforms in trade policy, infrastructure, and digitalization are crucial for improving the management of foreign trade processes in Uzbekistan.
Currently, Uzbekistan faces challenges related to inefficient management of foreign trade processes, insufficient use of modern technologies, and the lack of advanced management strategies in international trade.
That is, why a title of the DSs dissertation thesis has been formulated as “Improving the Management of Foreign Trade Processes in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The aim of the research is to identify key strategies for improving the management of foreign trade processes in Uzbekistan, enhancing efficiency and integrating modern practices.
The research will use a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including case studies, statistical analysis, and expert interviews.
The practical implications of the research include the implementation of recommended strategies in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade management, leading to more efficient economic performance.
