Unlocking Opportunities for Master’s Programs and Scholarships

On January 29, 2025, Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) successfully hosted another insightful session of the Graduate Café Discussion Series.

The seminar, titled "Unlocking Opportunities: How to Apply for Master’s Programs and Win Scholarships," featured Otabek Akromov, PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Minnesota and Head of the Department at the Center for Progressive Reforms in Tashkent. Drawing from his extensive academic and professional experience—including a joint MA in Security Studies from the University of Glasgow, Dublin City University, and Charles University—Otabek shared valuable insights on application strategies, scholarship opportunities, and key tips for prospective master’s students.

Attendees gained firsthand knowledge of scholarship application processes, university selection criteria, and ways to enhance their chances of securing funding for graduate studies. The interactive session also allowed participants to ask questions and receive expert advice.
